About the Firm

The Law Office of Lunetto & Hegel was established in 1982 at a modest location in Tustin, California, a small town in Orange County. Since those early days, our practice has expanded to include Santa Ana, San Diego, Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

From the moment of its inception, our law firm has been dedicated to providing vigorous representation to individuals and families who deserve a legal or financial remedy due to an injury, death or disability. In handling literally thousands of clients' cases over the past 25+ years, Cesare Lunetto and Edward (Eddie) Hegel have acquired in-depth knowledge of both the letter of the law and its application in a broad spectrum of cases.

Settlements and Litigation

Although we prepare every client's legal case as if it were going to trial, the reality is that most cases settle, with an agreement between the injured (the plaintiff) and the responsible party (the defendant) that avoids the cost and delay of going to court. A case is more likely to settle when the other side knows that we mean business and that we have the qualifications and competence as litigators to take a case to court whenever necessary.

We understand that insurance companies want to limit their legal liability should a case proceed to trial. We also know that there are situations in which there is no alternative but to go to trial, or to a binding arbitration. In such circumstances, an insurance company has probably made an offer of financial compensation that is well below what is appropriate. We are prepared to confront any obstacle to a satisfactory outcome of each client's case.

A Free Initial Consultation

It's always been our policy to provide a free, no-commitment initial consultation to prospective clients. When an individual chooses to be represented by our firm, we enter into a written retainer agreement that is actually a "working partnership" with the client toward a legal solution that will be appropriate and satisfying.

For most personal injury cases, we work on a contingency basis - that is, we only get a percentage of a settlement or award that a client receives as opposed to an hourly fee. This means that we don't get paid unless you do.
